Housed in a mausoleum dating form 1247 (presented by a Seljuk Sultan to Mevlana's father). The Mevlana Museum contains properties and works belonging to Mevlana, and the mevlevi order. The collection includes Mevlevi musical instruments, calligraphy specimens, and various fabrics and carpets.

 

This museum features tiles from the Seljuk Empire, particularly from the area of Kubadabat (summer capital for the Seljuks).

 

It houses wooden and stone works of the Seljuk period.

 

The mosque built on the Alaaddin Hill, is the oldest historical building in Anatolia from the Seljuk period. (1116-1156) Alaaddin Palace was built during the reign of Sultan Kilic Arslan II (1156-1192). Restored and widened during the reign of Sultan Alaaddin I.

 

It was built in the baraque style between 1671-1676.
